Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for Conferences by SQALab LLC
Version: 1.0
Date of Approval: 18 December 2023

1. General Principles

The conference aims to foster an inclusive and safe environment for all participants — organisers, programme committee members, attendees, speakers, partners, and event staff — regardless of:

  • gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation,
  • disability, appearance, body type,
  • race, ethnicity, religion,
  • technology preferences or professional background.

All participants are required to adhere to this Code of Conduct.

2. Unacceptable Behaviour

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • offensive comments, discriminatory or derogatory language,
  • display of explicit or inappropriate images,
  • booth personnel (including volunteers) wearing revealing clothing/uniforms/costumes or otherwise creating a sexually charged environment,
  • intimidation, stalking, unwanted photography or videography,
  • disruption of talks, aggressive or provocative behaviour, disrespect towards participants,
  • public discussions of political or national topics in any form,
  • public discussions of high-profile societal events or news unrelated to the conference theme,
  • unwanted physical contact, sexual harassment.

The organisers would like to emphasise that the conference platform is intended solely for the professional networking of the event’s topics. Participation in the conference implies adherence to professional ethics and respect for the event’s goals. The main goal of the conference is the exchange of knowledge and the professional networking. Therefore, the organisers strongly advise all participants and attendees to refrain from any form of commercial activity, including the promotion of products or services, unsolicited presentations, or the collection of contact details for commercial purposes. Any form of commercial activity — including direct offers of goods or services, contact collection for future sales or marketing communications — is considered inappropriate unless explicitly approved in advance by the organisers. Such actions may result in restricted access to current and future events to preserve the professional atmosphere of the conference.

These rules apply to both in-person and online participation. They cover all presentations and activities within the scope of the conference, including:

  • Oral and written communication (e.g. discussions, social media, conference chats and other online platforms),
  • Visual content, both digital and physical (e.g. landing pages, activity pages, social media posts, presentations, posters, booths, printed materials, clothing),
  • Conference activities (e.g. business games, networking sessions, gamified content, promotional giveaways).

3. Participant Responsibility

  • Participants who violate the Code may be issued a warning or removed from the event without refund.
  • In cases of serious violations, the organisers reserve the right to report the matter to law enforcement authorities.

4. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a breach of this Code, you can:

  • Approach an organiser in person (they wear identifiable badges and branded T-shirts),
  • Call the conference organisers via any of the following numbers:
    +7 (916) 237-50-11,
    +7 (915) 253-26-11,
    +7 (965) 594-77-65,
  • Write to: org@it-conf.com
  • Submit a complaint via the Jivo chat on the conference website.

We guarantee that all reports will be handled confidentially. Support will be offered to affected participants, including help contacting local support services or, if requested, law enforcement authorities. In complex situations, the conference team can assist in contacting legal or psychological professionals.

5. Legal Information

This Code of Conduct is developed in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, including:

  • The Constitution of the Russian Federation,
  • The Civil Code of the Russian Federation,
  • The Labour Code of the Russian Federation (with regard to occupational safety and protection against discrimination),
  • The Federal Law “On Protection of Consumer Rights” (with regard to services provided to conference participants),
  • The Federal Law “On Counteracting Extremist Activity” (regarding the prohibition of incitement to hatred and discrimination),
  • The Federal Law “On Personal Data” (regarding the processing and storage of information related to complaints).

The organisers reserve the right to apply sanctions against violators of this Code, including removal from the event without refund. In cases of gross violations — including threats, harassment, violence, discrimination, or other unlawful actions — the organisers may report the matter to law enforcement.

Participants are also personally responsible for complying with the laws of the Russian Federation. Lack of awareness of this Code does not exempt from responsibility for violating it.

Participants are free to use the knowledge they acquire from presentations, talks, website content, and other materials at their own discretion. This also applies to insights gained from personal discussions, chats, social media and other channels. LLC “Testing Laboratory” bears no responsibility for how this information is used.

The views expressed by speakers, experts, roundtable participants, programme committee members, hosts, or other attendees may not reflect the views of the organisers.
